| Minnie Clyde Edwards September 5, 1912- October 22, 2006 PHENIX CITY, AL— Minnie Clyde Edwards, 94, of Phenix City, AL died Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM EST at Auburn Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne Scarborough and Rev. Rodney Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens according to Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6-8 PM EST. Mrs. Edwards was born September 5, 1912 in Cavness, Georgia, daughter of the late Lewis A. Gibson and Ophelia Scarborough Gibson. She was a homemaker and a member of Auburn Heights Baptist Church. Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband David Glenn Edwards. She is survived by three sons, Willie Edwards and wife Irene of Phenix City, AL., Cecil C. Edwards and wife Betty of Liburn, GA., Joe W. Edwards and wife Hope of Phenix City, AL.; sister, Annie Dacus of Bowdon, GA.; grandchildren, Bucky Edwards, Tammy Gibson, Lisa Edwards, Laura Jaynes, Joel Edwards and John Edwards.; great-grandchildren, Tristan and Abby Edwards, Nichole Jaynes, Robby Anderson, Kyle Jaynes, Jess Edwards, Kevin and Tiffany Gibson. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Auburn Heights Baptist Church Land Fund, 4207 Auburn Rd, Phenix City, AL 36870. |
